This pregnancy is definitely different this time around. With my first, I worked out at least 5 days a week until one week before my due date. I did spinning, Pilates reformer, prenatal yoga, strength training, even squats! Expecting twins has been completely different. There are a few reasons for this. First of all, carrying twins is just different. It’s harder on your body. I can’t even imagine what triplets or quads would be like! I also think the doctor appointments are more exhausted. I go a lot more than I did with my first.

Being a mother to a preschooler has probably been the most difference. When it’s your first, you only have to worry about taking care of you. I have to make sure he gets to school, eats well, and gets to all of his after school activities. Honestly, that was exhausting before I was expecting twins :)

I guess it’s the same story for so many families. The first one gets doted on the most. The first one gets to do so many things that the others may not. I can’t help but feel a little guilty that the twins won’t get to travel as much as Preston or may not get to participate in as many activities. I even read a lot more to Preston when he was in the womb simply because I had so much more time. They’ll even have to share a room for a while. I guess that just how life goes. I’ll do my best to spend quality time with each child one on one, as well as, all together. All I can give is my best.
